On Day 6, Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ Rakes in ₹313 Crore at the Indian Box Office.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the renowned director of ‘Kabir Singh’, helms the latest cinematic venture, ‘Animal’. This star-studded film boasts a lineup featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Shakti Kapoor. Within a mere six days since its global release, ‘Animal’ swiftly soared past the ₹500 crore milestone, signaling its immense popularity among audiences worldwide.

According to estimates reported on Sacnilk.com, the film recently added an impressive ₹30 crore to its domestic collection, elevating its earnings in India to a staggering ₹312.96 crore. These numbers solidify its commendable performance at the box office, establishing a strong presence amidst moviegoers.

Analyzing its audience reach, ‘Animal’ showcased promising occupancy rates across various languages. The statistics revealed a substantial 34.88 percent occupancy in Hindi, along with 25.67 percent in Telugu and 18.95 percent in Tamil on a particular Wednesday. Such widespread appeal across diverse linguistic audiences has contributed significantly to the film’s resounding success.

‘Animal’ made its theatrical debut on December 1, sharing the cinematic landscape with ‘Sam Bahadur’. Its opening was nothing short of spectacular, amassing an exceptional ₹71.46 crore in India on its very first Sunday, setting a high benchmark for success.

This latest endeavor in Ranbir Kapoor’s filmography is poised to potentially become his highest-grossing film yet. However, it faces the daunting task of surpassing the incredible success of ‘Sanju’, where Ranbir portrayed the role of Sanjay Dutt. ‘Sanju’ stands tall with a global collection of ₹586.85 crore, a feat that ‘Animal’ aims to surpass, signaling its potential for an enduring legacy in the world of cinema.

‘Animal’, despite its star-studded cast and intense storyline, has faced severe criticism for its depiction of extreme violence, leading many to condemn its glorification of misogyny. The narrative primarily revolves around the tumultuous relationship between Anil Kapoor’s character, Balbir Singh, and Ranbir Kapoor’s Ranvijay Singh, set against a backdrop steeped in crime and the underworld. Adding complexity to the plot is the presence of Rashmika Mandanna as Ranbir’s counterpart, with Bobby Deol taking on the pivotal role of the main antagonist. The ensemble cast also includes Shakti Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Prithviraj, and Siddhant Karnick, contributing to the film’s multifaceted narrative.

Recently, the online unveiling of Bobby Deol’s entry song, ‘Jamal Kudu’, from ‘Animal’ stirred excitement among audiences. T-Series, the production house, took to Instagram, igniting anticipation with a post inviting fans to revel in the song’s release. Describing it as Abrar’s Entry, the caption set the stage for celebrations, urging fans to ‘dance away’ to the beats of the track. Interestingly, reports suggest that the song is a reinterpretation of the Iranian original, ‘Jamaal Jamaaloo’, adding an intriguing international element to the film’s music.

This unveiling marks a significant moment for the movie’s promotional campaign, promising a musical aspect that amplifies the dramatic and action-packed ambiance of ‘Animal’.
