India ended the Test match With excellent performance on day 4th

India’s third Rajkot Test against England ended in four days. England fell to bat with a target of 557 runs. Their innings ended in just 122 runs. Rohit Sharma won the match with 434 runs. Jadeja took 5 wickets for India in the second innings. India won the third Test by a record run to take the five-match series 2-1.

In the third test against England, India showed power with bat and ball. England went into bat with a target of 557 runs. England’s batting lineup fell in the beginning. First innings century man Ben Duckett was run out. Jack Crowley, Ollie Pope, Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow did not get runs. England lost 7 wickets in just 50 runs. The spin pair of Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep left the English batsmen in the lurch. Ben Foakes and Tom Hartley put on a pair for the eighth wicket. Mark Wood tries to take the score a bit further. Mark Wood scored the maximum 33 runs. None of the rest could even touch the 20-run barrier. However, that did not stop the victory. The Rohites left the field after winning the match.

Jashasvi Jaiswal’s double century in the second innings took India to the mountain of runs. Shubman Gill’s 91 and Sarfraz Khan’s half century made India 430 runs. After that, India declared the innings. India took a lead of 557 runs in two innings. Ravichandran Ashwin returned home in the middle of the match due to his mother’s illness. He joined the team on the same day after settling some of the problems at home. He got a chance to bowl only 6 overs in the second innings. Ashwin also took 1 wicket with 19 runs including 3 maidens. Jadeja took 5 wickets of the opponent with only 41 runs. Jadeja got 7 wickets in two innings.

Team India has never won by so many runs in India’s 92-year Test history. So far, India’s biggest Test win in terms of runs came against New Zealand. India won by 372 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in 2021. The India-South Africa match is at number three in that list. India defeated the Proteas by 337 runs in Delhi in 2015. Fourth place in India-New Zealand match. The margin of victory in that Test in 2016 was 321 runs. India-Australia Test is at number five. India won by 320 runs in Mohali in 2008. India beat England by 434 runs in the Rajkot Test breaking all records.
